The NEC
Aztec is regularly specified to work at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in England’s second city of Birmingham. With more than 40 years of expertise in hosting exhibitions, conferences and various other live events, it’s easy to see why the NEC has become the UK’s leading event venue.
The NEC was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen back in 1976. Fast forward to the present day and the NEC now plays host to more than six million guests and 500 live events each year. In terms of logistics, the NEC couldn’t be any more centrally located in the UK. It is situated in the heart of the nation’s motorway network, near the M6 and M42 motorways and is a five-minute walk from Birmingham International railway station. Birmingham International airport is also on the NEC’s doorstep, ideal if you wish to host delegates from overseas.
The flexibility of the NEC’s event space is unrivalled across the UK. With 182,000 square metres of covered floor space on offer, spanning 20 halls and 34 conference suites, you’re guaranteed a blank canvas to work from. The NEC also offers a range of unique outdoor event spaces that might be suitable for your organisation. From the tranquil gardens overlooking Pendigo Lake to the recently-installed man-made beach, these contemporary surroundings can get your events off to the perfect start in the great outdoors.
Aztec’s Event Partnership team regularly provide audio-visual and technical support to events hosted at the NEC. We have developed a strong working relationship with the staff on-site over the years. Our vast experience of supporting events in each type of space at the NEC allows us to recommend stage or table layouts, as well as sound, lighting and projection ideas to ensure maximum impact and engagement for your event.
However big or small your event, you can rest assured the NEC will have a flexible venue to suit. When you work with our award-winning live events team, you can rely on the same attention to detail for intimate seminars and meetings as industry-leading conferences and exhibitions.
